“Moustache Snuggles” from Danse Sport Montréal

“My endless admiration goes to the man who’s moustache is older than me…”

You can’t really ask Pierre Allaire about the age of his moustache, since he will give you a definite answer that he was born with it. Still, one would wonder – “why wouldn’t he give it a change? Shave it off or maybe grow a beard?” Naw, friends. This is classic!

Pierre Allaire & Mireille Veilleux are known for being the “sweethearts” of dance sport. Unfortunately, we don’t see that a lot these days, you know, when a relationship is cherished and carried for decades. In 1998 they retired from competitive dancing, and started their own competition. All that love you observe between them is being carried to all the competitors and guests. In past 10 years of attending that event, I can say for sure that every time I take that 6 hour trip to Montréal and back – it is a vacation. Danse Sport Montréal is NOT a competition you’d come to dance, get your price, and get out. It is perfectly timed with great weather and perfectly located in the core within a 5 to 10 min walk to anything. It’s full of festivals, happy people and French-Canadian hospitality.

What’s the point of telling you all that, when should just go and experience all of that yourself? You won’t regret it, that’s for sure!
